Great Exercises for Your Eyes to Improve Your Sight

March 25, 2012

Staring and straining are the worst things that you can do to your eyes. After a long day in the office, the eyes are beat and need to relax and replenish to enhance vision. The constant strain day in and day out does nothing except harm the eyes. Below are 3 exercises designed to remove the eye strain.

Exercise 1

The 1st exercise is the Dot exercise. To try this find a period or comma on the page and target making it as clear as possible. Stare at the full stop until it comes into focus. Chances are after 1 or 2 seconds the period will basically became less clear and hazy.

Try relaxing your eyes. Shut them for a few minutes and let them relax. Now glance at the full stop without straining. Don’t stare; instead, let your eyes slowly move around the page, over and round the period. Don’t focus only on the full stop, the eyes need movement. Make efforts to blink a bit. Try shutting your eyes and imagining the dot and then look at it again. After your eyes become relaxed it will be easier to see the period.

Exercise 2

The second exercise is the Word exercise. Find a word on the page that is five or even more letters long. Stare at the word so that all the letters are in view, but don’t move the eyes. Focus wholly on the complete word trying hard to get the best possible image in your head. Again, staring and concentrating too much will to cause the word to cloud.

Now, relax your eyes and let them to move gently over, around, and across each letter of the word. Blink. Allow the eyes to steer you; don’t require them to look at what you need. The word should be more clear when you look at it the next time. Allowing the eyes move around is what will help them work well without the strain.

Exercise 3

The last exercise is the Double Vision exercise. This exercise is supposed to get your eyes to work together in unison. The majority of individuals use a single eye to have a look at something, while the other eye does its own thing. Squinting can help in bringing an object into focus with both eyes, but this will cause pointless stress. The key’s to relax the eyes, focus on the object in a gentle way, and permit both eyes to focus together.

Practising exercises like these or Bates eye exercises to relax the eyes is the best way to develop life long habits and guarantee great eyesight for a lot of years to come.
